PRACTICE AREAS: Specializes in corporate law and natural gas business. Nicolás counsels oil and gas companies on contracts and on industry related regulations. He represents local and international companies in the purchase of hydrocarbon related assets, in their participation in international public bids for the acquisition of hydrocarbon areas as well as in the negotiation of natural gas purchase and sale agreements and of transportation agreements. He has participated extensively in the structuring and development of LPG and biofuel production and sale related projects. Lately he has advised international and local oil and gas companies in midstream activities. He has received numerous recognitions from Chambers & Partners and Latin Lawyer.
EXPERIENCE: Formerly, he was a Partner at Cárdenas, Di Ció, Romero & Tarsitano law firm and Head of Natural Gas Business Legal Area at YPF S.A. where he participated extensively in the legal aspects of projects for the construction of natural gas transportation systems and for the export of natural gas from Argentina to Chile and Brazil. In 1995 he worked as a foreign trainee at Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P., Dallas, Texas, USA (Foreign Summer Practice).
