PRACTICE AREAS: Specialized in financial, foreign exchange controls and money laundering laws. Claudia advices on regulations issued by the Central Bank and the Financial Information Unit (“UIF”). She advises all kind of top-tier companies and/or financial entities, in everything related to the foreign exchange market, financial system and enforcement of the Anti-Money Laundering Law. She has participated in the advice to financial entities; in particular, in the negotiation and execution of loans to local companies, syndicated loans, refinancing (banking clubs), design and execution of the guarantee scheme of said operations, including the execution of guarantee and real estate trusts. Likewise, being a lawyer specialized in financial and foreign exchange matters, she has intervened in advising, background analysis and drafting of reports and/or discharges of information requirements and proceedings initiated by the Central Bank on the alleged violations to the Criminal Exchange Controls Regime and in procedures for the liquidation of financial entities and the administrative proceedings initiated as a result thereof.
UNIVERSITY STUDIES: Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, Lawyer (1984), receiving the “Dr. Luis Ojea Quintana Award for the highest average grade”. Admitted to the Buenos Aires Bar in 1985.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES: She has taught Banking Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.
EXPERIENCE: She has been a partner of the Orselli & Larrañaga Law Firm since 2014. In 2005 she joined the Fornieles Law Firm, where she was in charge of the area of contractual and foreign exchange advice. Between 1998-2005 she joined the Cárdenas, Cassagne y Asociados Law Firm as a senior lawyer. Between 1995-1998, she worked at the Raúl C. Sanguinetti & Abogados Law Firm as an associate. Between 1990-1994 she joined the Labanca, Donato & Kelly Law Firm, as an associate. Since 1986 he joined the Labanca and Sanguinetti Law Firm specializing in commercial, banking, foreign exchange and administrative law.
